Our founder, Gina de Vries, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, USA, relocated to the UK with her husband and children in 1999. Gina always had a strong desire to start her own business. Growing up with two entrepreneurial parents, as well as a brother successful in his own company, you might say it was in her blood! As a mother of two herself, Gina understands the amazing joy and excitement experienced at the birth of a child. She also knows the importance of having those baby essentials ready and waiting for the new arrival!

Hidden Treasure Nappy Cakes was born out of a close friendship with Kelli Williams, who is the proprietor of our American sister company Kel’s Babycakes (www.kelsbabycakes.com).

With a background in personal administration, Gina has impeccable organisational skills and is extremely detail orientated. Creating Nappy Cakes has given an outlet to her natural talent for design and the perfectionist in her will ensure that the product you receive will be of the highest standard. “Do to others as you would have them do to you” (Luke 6:31), is a personal belief of hers and she will not design a Nappy Cake that she herself would not be thrilled to receive!
